The Crab with the Golden Claws is the fourth volume in this special promotional Tintin A5 collection, issued in cooperation with the Belgian newspaper De Morgen. In this classic adventure, Tintin investigates a mysterious case involving empty crab tins and an international opium-smuggling network. During his investigation, he meets Captain Haddock for the very first time, marking the beginning of one of the most famous friendships in the Tintin series.

This Dutch-language hardcover edition was published by Casterman in 2004. It is the first printing of this promotional reissue and is an attractive collectible for Tintin enthusiasts. The newspaper campaign began in De Morgen on 20 November 2004, with a new album available every Saturday for an additional charge of €4. The collection was later also distributed through the Dutch newspaper Het Parool.

The offered copy is in mint condition.

Both the illustrations and the story were created by Georges Remi, better known as Hergé.
