Müller first appears in The Black Island, where his respectable title and outward appearance conceal a dangerous criminal involved in an international counterfeiting organisation. Calculating, unscrupulous and willing to use violence, Müller is one of the darkest and most memorable villains created by Hergé.

The figurine reproduces a dramatic scene from The Black Island, specifically plate 21, panel C1. Müller is portrayed as an arsonist, ready to use fire as part of his attempt to destroy evidence and escape Tintin’s investigation. His determined expression and distinctive appearance are carefully recreated in the clear-line style of Hergé’s original illustrations.

Made from resin, the figurine measures approximately 12 cm high, 8 cm wide and 6.5 cm deep. It was published and produced in 2018 as part of the official resin statuette collection by Tintinimaginatio SA. The presentation box measures approximately 11 × 11 × 19 cm.
